How to help with your local bio-diversity!

The best way of helping with your local bio-diversity is to have a pond in your garden. So it was with great excitement that I saw the new pond at the Beeches' centre. I've had mine in my garden for several years and it brings me constant joy throughout the seasons. You can watch the whole cycle of life from frog spawn to tadpole to fully grown frog who hop around your garden helping you keep the pests down. I also have newts, various larvae, water snails, water beetles to name but a few and that's before you think about it supplying a constant water supply for the wild birds and hedgehogs.
