Our vision is of a place where local people of all ages can come together, feel part of our community, learn from each other and celebrate our remarkable heritage.
We want to give the Caerphilly Miners back to the community!

Elderberries donate to the Caerphilly Food Bank
As part of the Elderberries plan to keep informed, Marjorie Gray invited the Caerphilly Food Bank team to tell us about their work.
Andy who founded the Food Bank 11 years ago spoke at our November 30th meeting. Their work has grown dramatically in recent years.
The work of the Food Bank is regulated by the Trussell Trust to ensure that donations reach bone fide residents.
The Elderberries, Seated Dance and Chair Exercise Group collected for the Food Bank this week. At the meeting, it was agreed collect for the Food Bank during the last week of every month as part of the Miners’ Centre commitment to the community.
The Elderberries have some exciting activities in the run-up to Christmas and are hoping to expand their activities and membership once there is more space in the centre in the New Year. They are also linking up with tenants in Plas Hyfryd and Cole Court through a weekly Zoom chat. If you’d like to join the Elderberries contact the Secretary on 029 2167 4242 secretary@caerphillyminerscentre.org.uk or call in to the Miners to get a programme.
